Following Jesus While We Wait for His Return
On Sunday, we discussed the importance of following Jesus as we wait for his return. Some time ago, I was greatly encouraged by this interview with a man named Ruslan. Take a few moments to watch and be encouraged and challenged in your own walk with the Lord and the call to follow him. “He Is Coming Again” (Gospel of John & Revelation)
TRYING TO RUSH GOD’S PLANS (GENESIS 16)
Ever get impatient with God? God has perfect plans on his timing, but we often would like to see the timetable sped up to match ours. When we try to work around God’s plans though, it makes things….well, complicated. It often has consequences as later chapters in Genesis reveal. Let’s keep the focus though for now on what we can learn from Genesis 16.
INFLUENCE (PSALM 1)
This past Sunday we talked about understanding the spiritual influence in the background to the circumstances and situations we face. That influence may be either positive or negative. If we’re honest, believers share in the spiritual adultery as well as we chase after the things of this world. Let’s take some honest time to reflect and consider our lives: are we living for God or for the world? Which relationship is more important to us? It’s not an area we necessarily…
THE RIGHT MEASUREMENT (LUKE 18)
Measurements are a crucial part of our daily lives. From the size of our clothes to the ingredients used to make our food, to the gas in our car, we use measurements in some form every day. Luke 18 talks about measurements of sorts when it comes to considering how “good” we are. Take a moment to watch and think about measurement as we see it there. Luke 18 NET
CITIZENSHIP – PHILIPPIANS 3
There has been much discussion over recent years about citizenship. The Apostle Paul talks about a greater citizenship that believers possess than being citizens of any country here on earth. Believers are heavenly citizens. That citizenship reminds of two things. Take a moment to watch and find out.
