GOD IS GOOD – PSALM 103
With everything going on around us, we may question God’s goodness. Yet Psalm 103 reminds us that God is indeed worthy of praise because he is good. David then proceeds through the Psalm to testify to God’s goodness. These words are encouraging reminders for us today.
GOD IS…
Holy. That word was in my mind today, in part because of a song that has been in my head most of the day. Holy is so much more than just moral purity as we describe God. It refers to the distinctness of every facet of his character – he loves with a holy love, he judges with holy justice, he has holy mercy, holy grace. And he has called us to be holy as he is holy (1 Pe…
HERE’S YOUR SIGN – MATTHEW 27
At various points in the Gospels, we see Jesus telling people that his death and resurrection will be a sign of who he is – the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. Yet that sign was rejected as we see in Matthew 27. He didn’t save himself though so that he might save us.
THE GREATEST – MATTHEW 22

But exploring the term a bit more, it also reminds us that our God is timeless. He has existed since eternity past. These moments have not caught him off guard. All is going according to HIS plan to the praise…
YET NOT I, BUT CHRIST!
My wife showed me this song that a friend of our was teaching his church. This will be our theme song for the month of May – “Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me” (CityAlight). May that be our anthem, the tenor of our attitude every day as we walk this earth. “For from him and through him and for him are all thigns. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” Romans 11:36 NIV
LISTEN TO JESUS – MATTHEW 17
Thanks for joining us as we look at Matthew 17. In this interesting scene, not the words of the Father – “This is my beloved son. Listen to Him!” Those last three words caught my attention today. Do we listen to Jesus? And if so, how is that affecting every fiber of our being?
