UPDATE (4/15/21) – The choice to wears masks is each person’s decision and at their discretion. As a church, we are respectful of that choice and stance. We do have masks and hand sanitizer available, and we have regular disinfecting procedures in place.
UPDATE (3/28/21) – As we’ve received various phones calls about our COVID policy, here’s what we’re doing as a church. We continue to encourage masks per the governor’s order but leave that decision to the discretion of each individual attending. We do have masks & hand sanitizer available, and we have regular disinfecting procedures in place.
UPDATE (1/26/21) – Governor Evers recently instituted another order extending the mask mandate till March 20, 2021. We maintain our position on the matter as outlined in our video from July 2020 when his original order was implemented (please see below). We are still implementing additional cleaning practices as well.
UPDATE (10/30/20) – Pastor Paul and Pastor Daniel were recently in contact with an individual that tested positive for Covid several days after their last contact with the individual. Pastor Paul just today experienced a few common Covid symptoms & Pastor Daniel just today began experiencing some allergy-like symptoms. We as a leadership team feel the need to err on the side of caution after consulting with one another & some trusted medical professionals who are family members of ours. As a result of these new and very recent developments, we have decided to cancel onsite services for this coming Sunday (11/1). We will be online only this week. As we get further information in the coming days, we’ll be informing you about other decisions regarding other ministries and activities at GBC. We appreciate your understanding in this matter & flexibility. We covet your prayers for us not only for health but wisdom as we make decisions that potentially affect the lives of many others. It makes us think of the many times the Apostle Paul covets the prayers of his fellow ministry workers and brothers & sisters in Christ. What a privilege to support one another through prayer. Thanks for praying & tuning in online this week to hear great encouragements & challenges from God’s Word. With love. – GBC Leadership Team
MASK MANDATE RESPONSE (7/31/20) – the video below informs you on our response to the mask mandate. Take a moment to watch this PD’s Reflections video as well. We live in unique days where we can be a testimony to our world and shine in our obedience to God.
UPDATE (5/21/20) – The video below informs you about reopening our onsite service on May 24, 2020. It informs you about the recommendations, policies, general information, & encouragements you need to know as we reopen. Please view this or read the PDF located below.
UPDATE (5/14/20) – The video below is an update on Grace Bible Church based on the recent WI Supreme Court decision. Thank you for your continued prayers.
UPDATE (3/31/20) – All services presently for Grace Bible Church are online. Please see our YouTube channel each Sunday for a time of praise, prayer, and study as meet together online as a church. Please also see our Facebook page for recent updates, encouraging verses, and additional videos throughout the week. Additionally, Pastor Daniel is doing daily vlogs on various passages of Scripture and encouraging videos he’s seen. Please check out PD’s Reflections on our website daily for those. We’re praying for you. Please feel free to contact us (see bottom of that page) or one of our team members at any time.
UPDATE (3/17/20 @ 5:00 PM) – We are sorry to say that we are cancelling all services & activities this week (& likely next week too). We will no longer be meeting in homes due to personal responses as well as current mandates as of this afternoon. We are encouraging those who are able to though to watch a live stream or prerecorded service on our YouTube channel. Thank you for being flexible with us. Continue to show the love of Christ in creative ways to one another. Stay tuned for further updates through the week as we get resources together. Thanks for your prayers.
UDPATE (3/17/20 @ 11:00 AM) – Thank you for your prayers as we meet as a church board. We’ve come up with the following plan based on current recommendations, mandates, & considering the health of our people that will be enacted until further notice. AWANA has been cancelled & clubbers will either complete their sections this summer or may do so virtually via apps like Facetime, FB Messenger, or Skype with a leader. WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY has been cancelled & we are looking into either pausing this for now or providing resources online. PICKLEBALL on Thursday evenings will continue for those that wish to participate. SUNDAY MORNING & SUNDAY SCHOOL will be done in a New Testament “house church” style. We’re using our shepherding lists as groups & Elders/Deacons as host locations for our church members. We’re trying live streaming or a pre-made Worship Service video to be watched at these locations (or in your home) which will include praise songs, sermon & then a provided PDF of discussion questions. We understand that some folks will prefer to stay home due to health or personal reasons. We still encourage you to join us virtually for praise & study of the Word together and use the study questions with your family or a friend. Please visit our Facebook page or this website for further updates & information. This past Sunday’s service was live streamed & may be viewed here. This coming Sunday’s service/video will be hosted on YouTube on our channel. Thanks for your prayers and extended grace as we sail these uncharted waters together. Our trust is in HIM!
UPDATE (3/16/20 @ 12:00 PM) – Our elders & deacons will be meeting today to discuss our plans for the coming weeks given the new CDC guidelines & trends of banning gatherings over 50 by counties/cities in Wisconsin and other states. We should have information to share with you early this evening about what we’ve discussed & what our plan will be. Please check this page, your email, or our Facebook page later for additional information. Thank you for your prayers & concerns. Our trust is in HIM!
GBC INITIAL RESPONSE (3/14/20 @ 8:00 AM) – The situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to develop hour by hour in the state of Wisconsin and across the United States. With each hour new information emerges and new changes are made known. Our trust as a church is ultimately in the Lord. David wrote in Psalm 56:
When I am afraid, I trust in you. In God – I boast in his promise – in God I trust; I am not afraid.
Psalm 56:3-4 NET
We know that these worldwide events have not caught God by surprise. In his unchanging character, he remains sovereign and our faith is in him. We at the same time are encouraged and want to be wise about the situation at hand, taking the necessary precautions as they are needed.
Presently, we plan to continue with our regularly scheduled weekend activities and services. Any cancellations the leadership may make will be posted on our website and Facebook page. Texts & emails will be sent out as well to those who are on our contact list.
We do encourage those attending our activities and services to practice good hygiene though. Please be sure to wash your hands & cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow. Hand sanitizer will be available for use in common areas. Additionally, we’ll be taking extra care to wipe down common surfaces throughout the building. As further guidelines are made known to us by the government and medical authorities, we will make additional adjustments.
Please understand that during this time some people may prefer to refrain from handshakes and instead greet one another with only a friendly smile and kind words. This is perfectly understandable and encouraged given the circumstances. If you or your family members have experienced a fever in the last 24-48 hours, presently have a persistent cough, or are feeling ill in another manner, please consider resting in your home and taking care of yourself and your loved ones.
We understand that each person’s response to the situation is different and that some may feel uncomfortable in gathering for health reasons or otherwise. If you decide to remain home for Sunday’s service or future ones should they not be cancelled, you’ll be able to find the morning’s sermon posted on our YouTube channel usually by the afternoon of that same day. If services were to be cancelled at any point all together, Pastor Daniel or Pastor Paul will either host a live scheduled broadcast of their sermon and/or teaching times or it will be pre-recorded & posted. If needed, times will be sent out via email & text and posted on our Facebook page.
Please take the time to “like” our Facebook page if you haven’t already and subscribe to our YouTube channel in order to keep up to date with information and view recorded messages. Additional postings may be found on our website, sent out via email, or answered directly through contacting us with the information found at the bottom of this page or on our staff page.
Please pray for one another and for our world at this time. We’ve heard wondrous reports from China via missionary contacts about how God through this has renewed the environmental conditions, drawn families together, and demonstrated his love and grace through Christians to their neighbors and countrymen. While we are tempted to fear, the current events are not out of God’s control. May his grace, love, and mercy shine brightly in his children as they demonstrate the same because of the gospel that has transformed their lives and has the power to do in kind for any that profess faith in Jesus our Savior & Messiah. If you have a few moments, please take some time to view this video from Chip Ingram, and we pray that it will encourage your hearts.
