For some time now, I have been thinking about my time at Calvary and the theology classes that I absolutely loved. In them, I gained a greater knowledge of and appreciation for who God is. But it also deepened my relationship with God. Yesterday during our Sunday School time, we discussed knowing the basics at the very least so that we are able to defend our faith and spot falsehood. Those basics (& more) are not just points of knowledge though. We’re studying the one who redeemed us, who calls us his children, who has given us hope & a future. So while the basics (& more) do give us something to stand on, they give us a better vantage point of the one we call our Lord and Savior. Join us for the coming weeks as we look at things like the infallibility of the Word, the personhood of Christ Jesus, the character of God, the Gospel. It will be a great time of study and understanding this great God we serve.
